Cllr Linda Wright

Chair of Budget & Policies working Groups.

Member of CEAP and HR working groups.

I first visited Luddington in 1989, when my parents purchased a house by the river in the Parish. I loved Luddington, and the location of my parent’s house so, when they came to sell, in 2019, I jumped at the chance to purchase it.

My working life has been varied. On leaving school I worked for the Post Office for several years and worked towards a Diploma in Management. On leaving the Post Office I spent several years as the live in manager of a residential home for the elderly. I took redundancy when the home was sold and went on to run my own catering business, which I sold after about 7 years. I now work as a freelance bookkeeper, which is intended to provide me with a good work/life balance.

Away from working I enjoy walking, cycling, running, horse riding (when I get the opportunity), gardening, entertaining and musical theatre. I have a great love of the outdoors and nature and I am passionate about supporting wildlife, the river and the rural environment.
