Cllr Peter Murtagh

Chair of the CIL working group.

Member of PATCH. Policies and Bridle Meadows working Groups

Born in London, lived and worked thereabouts until I moved into the beautiful Conservation Area of Luddington Village in the February snow of 2018.

Trained as a mechanical engineer before moving into marketing.

Spent 30 years setting up and running a successful Marketing, Print and Graphic Design business.

After selling my company, I spent some time in property renovation as a contract and project manager, consultant in the building industry.

Since arriving in the area, I have, with my partner, become very interested in Wildlife and habitat restoration brought on by the obvious signs of global warming and concern for the future.

Other interests I still hold one Nonexecutive directorship and run a small private Property rental business then it’s mainly sporting. Football I was a player then a coach, Cricket a player, Rugby mainly a spectator and Tennis has been brought into my life by my partner and neighbours.

I really hope to make a positive difference to our shared beautiful home and to improve our environment for the benefit of our parishioners and future generations.

I consider myself privileged to live in such a beautiful location.
